New Richmond Refugee Group Formed!

In response to the Syrian refugee crisis the Richmond Village Refugee Welcome group has recently been formed. The goal of this group is to galvanize the Richmond community to support at least one family within the next year.  They have begun the preliminary steps necessary to apply for a refugee family. One key requirement is to raise $30,000 to qualify as refugee sponsors.

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church has offered to act as their collection point for  donations, that means tax receipts can be issued immediately or at end of year (your choice) for donations over $25.00. Simply make your cheque out to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and in the subject line write “for RVRW” or “refugee sponsorship” and include your full name and mailing address for your tax receipt to be issued.

Cheques should be mailed to St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 3529 McBean Street, BOX910 ,Richmond , Ontario, K0A 2Z0
