Goulbourn Skating Club in Richmond

Goulbourn Skating Club in Richmond

The Richmond Arena has been home to the Goulbourn Skating Club for the past 14 years. Prior to that, the Richmond Skating Club ran local programming for the town of Richmond, creating a long and rich history of skating in the community.

Goulbourn Skating Club offers many different programs, for all skill levels, in Richmond. We had a great 2017/2018 season, where we saw skaters develop, friendships formed and confidence increase in our skaters across our programs. Registration is now open for the winter sessions. We are proud to have all our programs taught by professional coaches who are specially trained and certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

CanSkate is a nationally tested and proven learn to skate curriculum with fun delivery methods the guarantee skater success in developing strong basic skills. This program also includes specific skills that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating. It does not take long for every beginner skater to be moving across the ice! Everyone gets regular assessments including badges and ribbons to reward and recognize each skater’s accomplishments. Throughout the season we also have various theme days to make things extra fun!

Programs are offered:

  • Tuesday at 6 PM (50 minutes)
  • Saturday at 10:30 AM (40 minutes)
  • Saturday at 11:10 AM (40 minutes)
