Promotional Opportunities

Santa-with-cane1

Christmas is quickly approaching and we are well underway to planning this year’s Banner Contest, Lighting of the Park and Santa Claus Parade festivities.

The Richmond Village Association would like to invite you to become a part of the holiday celebrations.

Below is a list of the different ways in which you can get involved.

My Winter Wonderland Banner Contest

This contest, which runs from Oct. 15th to Oct. 26th, 2018, invites local children from ages 4 to 12 to submit designs from which 30 will be chosen to be painted on the large ~2.5’ x 6’ banners that will be hung around the village throughout the winter. For a cost of $125 per banner, a business can have their company name appear on the back of a banner that will hang along McBean & Perth Streets. There are only 30 banners available. Participation in this select opportunity will be based on a first come first serve basis once payment is received. The deadline is November 3rd. Contact [email protected] if you want to support a child’s banner.

Holiday Tree Ornaments

Businesses are invited to support one of the decorated trees at Memorial Park. For your sponsorship of $50 your business name will be proudly displayed on our trees throughout the season, as well as recognition on the Richmond Village Association web site. Your business name will be added once payment has been received.

If you require more information about the Wonderland Banners, or the Holiday Tree opportunities please contact [email protected].

Santa Claus Parade

Thank you to all those who participated in the festive parade last year. This year the parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8th starting at 5:30 pm. The parade will start at McBean & Strachan, then head North on McBean St., East on Perth St., North on Huntley and finally end at the fairgrounds. Sign up for your Parade entry here … it is a great way to advertise your business! Again to ensure safety of the children along the parade route, all candy and handouts must be distributed by walkers and not thrown from the floats. Float registration is required by November 24th. Thank you to all Richmond Village Association Sponsors and advertisers for making this event possible!

The parade will be followed by chili, hot chocolate and entertainment at the Community Centre. A visit by the “Big Man” himself for the unveiling of the banners and lighting of the Park at “4:30ish” in the evening in the park begins the day’s events.
